Welcome

St. Roberts' EaRN roundtable group meets

 every other Wednesday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. 

Please remember that we use the Forest Hills Public Schools weather status for our meetings at St. Robert.  If school is cancelled we will meet the following day, either Thursday or Friday.  


A Zoom meeting is offered on alternate Thursdays

Bill Weitzel, LMSW, ACSW

  • Bill Weitzel coordinates the EaRN roundtable at St. Robert.  He is a clinical social worker in private practice and specializes in behavioral health, stress reduction and career coaching.  Bill has worked in child and family services and eventually in higher education administration at a number of colleges and universities.  He has also consulted with business and charitable organizations.

Dave Straw

  • Dave is new to joining EARN. He spent most of his career in leadership roles with manufacturing companies.  His focus was split between Operations and Business Development. Dave's experience covers a wide range of industries including automotive supply chain, components for industrial machinery, material handling and capital equipment used in hospitals.  His work included serving Caterpillar and John Deere, Delphi, Dana, Eaton and several other Tier 1 and Tier 2 OEM suppliers.     While Dave's industry experience covers a wide breadth of markets and industries, the organizations he worked in were privately held and often family owned. This experience provided Dave with insight into the numerous roles and assignments people often acquire in a privately held firm.

Dave Patterson

 

  • Dave’s career was in Finance and Accounting leading to a Global CFO role before he transitioned to an Application Development and IT Operations Executive.  He spearheaded many business transformations globally overseeing operations in 8 European and Asian countries and coast to coast in the USA.  Dave was a high-performance trainer (Malandro Communications - You Plus) and has coached students in a LA STEM program and at Davenport.  He was known as a coaching leader during his career.  Currently, Dave is a Eucharistic Minister to home bound and nursing home parishioners for St Robert of Newminster Catholic Church in Ada and a dad of 6 adult children and Opa to 7 grandchildren.

Amy Meeuwenberg

 

  •  Amy is a volunteer coach with EaRN and a full time Career Coach with Right Management for the past 5 years where she helps people with all aspects of a job transition. Prior to that she was a leader at 5/3 Bank and training specialist at Amway and enjoys helping people learn, develop and grow as they move through their career and life journey,discovering their God give gifts and helping determine His direction for their lives. She and her husband Steve attend Impact in Lowell and have 3 daughters.

Paul M. Heroman

  

  • Paul M. Heroman, an acknowledged transformational turn-around leader with 35 years’ of experience instituting market-focused quality improvement to stabilize businesses, reduce costs, grow revenue, and develop staff.  Years ago, Mr. Heroman began translating his deep experience in corporate and nonprofit leadership into his passion for developing future leaders in today’s workforce, obtaining his Executive MBA in his transition to corporate education and development. In 2016, Paul joined the University of Notre Dame’s Stayer Center for Executive Education retiring late in 2020 but continuing in the executive education space with the Kelley School of Business until December 2024.  Prior to joining Notre Dame, he started and led the Center for Leadership at Grand Valley State University.  Paul is a hands-on guide and mentor who knows the challenges leaders face—from middle managers to C-suite executives—and is committed to providing the practical knowledge and resources needed to help people lead and organizations succeed.


  • Paul holds an Executive MBA with honors from the University of Notre Dame. He received a Certificate of Executive Integral Leadership from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame and has pursued continuing education in Leadership and in Quality Improvement processes. Paul also holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.


  • Paul has been actively involved with Rotary International for over 25 years, serving as the past president of the Ada-Cascade Club. He is past president of Rotary East Charities (which supports nonprofit youth programs) and Assistant Governor of District 6290.  He served as District 6290 Governor 2022-23.  He chaired the club’s Life Leadership program and has served on the board of directors for over a decade. Paul was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow Award by the Rotary Foundation and has additionally served as director of two nonprofit boards.

Ken Soper, MA, MDiv, NCC, CCC, Founder of EaRN

  • Ken Soper has 28+ years' networking in West Michigan with 38+ years providing career coaching & counsel.  He is one of the first NCDA Master Career Counselors (MCC) recognized in the US and a certified NBCC National Certified Career Counselor (NCCC).  Ken was honored to be listed annually in the Career Coach Sampler section of "What Color Is My Parachute?"  the best-selling book by my mentor and friend, Dick Bolles.
